It surprises most people, but in Salem, most of the restaurants, shops, and attractions don't really open until 11 AM. As a result anyone downtown before then usually has a choice of coffee or breakfast.
With over 30 years in Salem tourism, Roger Herson is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable tour guides Salem has ever had. His dedication to historical accuracy, passion for the events he shares, and excitement to be sharing them is clear in every one of his tours. As a 12th generation direct descendant of over 130 early North Shore settlers, he is descended from or related to numerous witch trial figures from Salem AND beyond.
Roger will guide you from Salem Commons and take an ideal route to be able to point out some of the most popular attractions, as well as some of the hidden gems. Along the way he will share some of the history of Salem, and ask answer any questions our guests may have as they prepare their day for Salem. The tour ends conveniently near the Salem Witch Trial Memorial at 11:30, just in time for everything to have opened an prepared.
We keep our capacity at 10 people so our groups are always small allowing for a more personable and friendly tour, so we suggest booking in advance.
When you purchase tickets for this tour you ALSO get admission for the "Tales from the Witch's Garden" evening tour in Beverly. (Scheduled separately).
