Welcome to the exciting world of Salem walking tours. We have taken a little bit of the effort of having to do internet searches to share some of our favorite companies in Salem, complete with links directly to their ticket pages if you want to purchase tickets from them. We do NOT act as a ticket agent, nor do we get any commission for providing these links. We do this as a service to our city, the reputable tour companies who work hard to entertain and educate our visitors, and for our visitors themselves. We hope you find a tour that is right for you.
This is another website we like to share for more great resources and what to do in Salem and around, complete with exclusive deals for visitors. From multiple walking tours, to where to eat and where to stay in and around Salem, this site is amazing as a resource.
If you want a company that knows their history, shares it in fun exciting ways, and has been educating Salem visitors for a long time, this is the ideal company for you. The company does run year round, though with a limited schedule over the winter, but during peak season they run multiple tours throughout the day on multiple subjects including the Salem witch trials, general history and more. Also be sure to check out their exciting new online shop.
When it comes to history and folklore, few people have mastered the art of spinning them together like Dr. Vitka of Spellbound tours. His tour was tailor made for the spooky night streets of Salem, where Dr. Vitka's voice rings out as clear and strong as any of the best guides in Salem. This is one of our favorite folklore and history tours in Salem, and the only one that we know of that delves into Salem's voodoo & vampire history as well. And if tours are not enough, be sure to check out Dr. Vitka's folklore channel over on Youtube.
This company is hard to explain in just a few sentences. Tour guide Jeff Page is one of co-owner Roger Herson's personal top 5 tour guides in Salem history. Jeff's historical knowledge is truly deep, and one would be hard pressed to ask him a question he doesn't know the answer to. If you are the kind of person that almost always has a lot of questions about history, Jeff can keep you busy. The website itself offers an amazing chronologic calendar of the 1692 hysteria that is unmatched online. Any visit to Salem from true hardcore history lovers will not be complete without experiencing this tour.
